Dear Summer ‘19

Hey friends, was this summer really a “hot girl/boy summer”? Or a “city girl/boy summer” ? Yea same, this summer was most definitely a “self love summer”, a “get right with God summer”, a “damn that’s crazy summer”, a “let me remind myself who the hell I am summer”. This summer had its ups and downs but played out beautifully at the end. It first started off great. Living my life, I was really falling into my hot girl status. But God was like nope, all that changed in beginning of July. I was so confused to what was happening and very uncomfortable. God was placing and still is forming me to be the woman he created me to be. He made me realize that I needed to stop sticking to my old habits and develop new ones, he made me realize that I needed to get closer to him, he made me realize that I needed to put myself first. He took away and replaced with better and he healed what was broken. So the whole month of July I was in transition mode. Not exactly what I planned on doing this summer but now I see how important it was. I prayed to God that I was ready to become who I really am so he gave me the test. Tested my faith in him, tested my faith in others and tested faith within myself. Let me just tell y’all I was failing in the beginning. But that was only because I was so lost but he sent out help to guide me , like a cheat sheet. Honestly without the cheat sheet I most definitely would’ve failed the test. Within this summer I was blessed to have mini previews of who and what I was becoming to be. She’s a dangerous woman, but in a good way. It was the season of trials and tribulations which we all have but we have to learn how to handle it. All of it starts with us. So dear summer ‘19, thank you for growth, thank you for allowing me to grow new business ventures like re launching my blog and creating a podcast, networking with new people for new projects, thank you for bringing me closer to God so I can understand his ways better, thank you for allowing me to mend what was hurting me and that goes from old relationships/friendships to very personal matters. You may have not been the “hot girl summer” everyone was hyping up. Even tho I got to see the original hot girl in person but you were the best summer. Everything was revealed. Until next time friends.
